LOCAL FIRE SPECIALIST OFFERS THE TOTAL SOLUTION - ABBOT FIRE GROUP

Buckingham-based fire safety specialist, Abbot Fire Group, is celebrating its appointment to offer customers from the Midlands to the South of England the very latest in fire safety equipment. The company, which has only recently relocated to new premises, has been chosen by Tyco Safety Products, a world leader in fire suppression solutions, to offer its new TOTAL® range of portable fire extinguishers to the UK regional market.

“A lot of businesses still seem to be unaware that fire safety legislation changed in October last year and that business owners and building occupiers are now legally responsible for fire safety,” says Managing Director, Nigel Walton. “Portable fire extinguishers are an important part of fire safety and choosing the right extinguisher has the potential to make the difference between life and death.”

He continues: “We are delighted to have been chosen to offer the TOTAL portables. They are undoubtedly the best on the market, plus Tyco Safety Products has developed a wide selection of models so there is a solution for every type of fire risk. The new extinguishers are manufactured in Germany to the highest specification, they comply with the toughest international standards, and they are exactly right for the new fire safety legislation.”

Indeed, it was the TOTAL quality standard that first attracted Nigel’s attention. He comments:” Abbot Fire is one of only three companies certified by the LPCB [Loss Prevention Certification Board] for the servicing and maintenance of portable extinguishers, so we wanted to offer our customers the best extinguishers.” He warns local businesses: “Buying an extinguisher on price alone may end up costing you a lot of money if it fails to work in an emergency. Certainly it is not the sort of thing to buy from a stationery supplier’s catalogue or a DIY store. What you need is expert guidance, and the right product for your particular premises.”

Abbot Fire Group is part of a country-wide network of TOTAL dealers managed on behalf of Tyco Safety Products Fire Suppression Group by Manchester-based Express Fire. Abbot Fire can be reached on 0870 844 1666.
