Wet Chemical
Wet Chemical (F-class) fire extinguishers are designed for
use against A class fires and specifically for F class cooking oil and fat
fires. The extinguishers come with a five year guarantee provided they are
serviced and maintained annually by a competent person in accordance with
BS5306 Pt3, using manufacturer’s spare parts, and in line with the
manufacturer’s recommendations.
Foam fire extinguishers are suitable for Class A and B fires involving flammable
liquids such as oils, spirits, greases, fats and certain plastics. The Wet
Chemical extinguisher is safe for inadvertent use on electrical equipment
up to 1,000v at a distance of 1 metre.
Class A: Carbonaceous material such as wood, paper and textile
Class F: Cooking oil and fats fires
